Does New World Combat offer any belts or ranking?

How long before I can fight?

question

Fight preparation varies from student to student. In most cases starting from "scratch" it takes students 1 to 2 years of training before they will be fighting competitively in front of an audience. Sparring will take place at an earlier time.

answer

I'm already a fighter. Do I have to attend your beginner classes or do you offer private training?

question

answer

If you are already a "fighter" I would encourage you to keep an open mind and "empty cup" and participate in our classes. Students will never be held back from their advancement. However, they will not be advanced till they show mastery of their techniques. This is necessary not only for the safety of our fighters but for their entertainment value in front of an audience. If you are not comfortable with the class setting then you are more than welcome to train privately with one of our professional trainers.

Is Muay Thai effective for "self defense" or "the real world"?

question

Muay Thai offers many aspects of training that can be applied for "self defense" or "the real world". However, Muay Thai is still a "sport" so be sure to try our Close Quarter Combat classes for the best in "real world" applications with no sport aspects.

answer

What if my schedule will not allow me to attend your level 1 classes?

question

If you absolutely cannot attend the level 1 classes then you may attempt the level 2 class pending instructor notification and approval. Do not assume that having attended martial arts classes at other facilities qualifies you for our higher level classes. The techniques and curriculums vary greatly from school to school.

answer

Is it possible to incorporate New World Combat’s curriculum in our martial arts school? Do you do seminars?

answer
