Greetings everyone. We hope everyone out there is doing well and keeping their heads up.
In order to provide some class diversity and some more options for members, we have decided to bring back some Thai Pad training for students with Instructor approval.
First and foremost, the safety of our Members and Community is paramount. So here are the details:
Beginning Tuesday, Sept 1st 2020, 7:30pm classes will consist of Thai Pad training and will be for advanced members or students with Instructor approval.
ALL participants in this class MUST wear a mask during this time. Whether or not you are hitting or holding the pads. (you may wish to seek out a mask appropriate for exercise as paper masks are not up to the task).
There will be no clench work or sparring. Other technical drills will be included to supplement our training while maintaining safe distances.
This class time does not require a reservation as we have ample mat space for the students and members who have been approved to attend.
For those attending, please bring any Thai Pads or Focus Mitts you may have. ALL pads and mitts will be sanitized before and after every change of handler.
That’s it in a nutshell folks. Though we miss so many aspects of our training, we will not rush or be driven by financial means to make a decision that affects the health of our Community in a negative way. We hope that by carefully adding these classes we can bring some new excitement to our members and help those advanced students keep making gains towards their competitive goals. Thank you everyone for all the support out there and for staying positive during this time of adaptation. We’re heading in the right direction and be assured we can do it if we all work together. Take care everyone!
