Who is W. Hock Hochheim?

It’s been a little while since I’ve written here but I’ll keep it simple. Who is Hock Hochheim? Well it all comes down to Close Quarter Combat.

The short version is this. Hock has a masterful background in Martial training. Not like the folks we see alot of these days who did 6 months of this and that and somehow become a gym’s “striking coach”. Or the guys that fought one time and manage to convince some gun guys that they “know” fighting. Hock has achieved a hugely diverse palette in rankings and certifications over a true lifetime of training. He has worked in combat or crime related areas his entire life. Most importantly though, he is probably the most active researcher, student and instructor of CQC living today. Why have you not heard of him? Simply put, he wasn’t wasting the last 20 years trying to come up with a fancy marketable acronym for his training. He wasn’t wasting his time trying to build his socials and get views and likes. What was he doing then? He was teaching. He was researching. He was writing. He was traveling. Hock has taught everyone. And I mean everyone. Across the Globe.

Now, he’s coming to our humble little gym in Fort Worth and doing a CQC seminar this Saturday, Jan. 29th from 12 noon till 5pm for $100 per person. Everyone is welcome. Please wear street clothes such as jeans or pants with a belt. Bring all your training gear but absolutely NO LIVE FIREARMS or EDGED WEAPONS within the facility during training.

Hock is the kind of guy you can ask questions and get real life experience answers. His training is especially valuable to traditional martial artists but also indispensable to newcomers. This is training in combat. No sport aspects. Will it work? Maybe, maybe not. That’s the way life and fighting is. Plenty of people have been hit by a right cross and not been knocked out. Does that mean we shouldn’t learn it? Will it work? Maybe, maybe not. If you’re looking for magic martial arts ninja tricks, this is not the place. If you want to understand combat and learn functional scenarios and techniques that can help save lives, then we’ve got you covered.

Please join us if you have the time and the funds. I know that’s always tough on folks these days. Everyone is welcome. Also, please be considerate of others if you have any symptoms of illness. We’ve got people trying to pay bills and stay healthy for work, family’s with at risk members and fighter’s who need to keep training for their next event. Feb 18th by the way at XKO.tv ha.

Thanks for the time everyone and best wishes to all of you this year. Keep safe and train hard!

Sincerely,

Francisco
