Live Fights! Yes...No...Maybe?

I’ll keep it short and simple. If you haven’t been to a live fighting event, you’ve got to check it out. At least once. This Friday the 20th of October, Renden Prestridge versus Thomas Jerdee takes place at Texas Live in Arlington, TX. Who the hell are those guys you may ask? Well, around these parts, Muay Thai is kind of rare. You see, there’s plenty of events with a rule set that allows for Muay Thai but finding people that actually train good Muay Thai is rare. Every gym and their mothers have added so called “Muay Thai” programs but unfortunately, what most actually offer are just a kid that has little to no experience in Muay Thai and maybe fought once or twice. They call themselves the “striking coach”. With these two cats it’s different. Both have focused on traditional Muay Thai for some time and both are capable of showing off the needed skillset to become excellent pro fighters when they are ready. They are good.

The venue is a sight to behold. Texas Live is a beautiful venue with excellent viewing from anywhere. Food and beverage is accessible throughout and the environment is thrilling. XKO is the largest and most prolific promotion in Texas. They have been around for decades and they know what a big event is supposed to be. They never let anyone down when it comes to their events. The production is second to none. Fighters are treated and showcased like stars. It’s special for both the up and coming fighters and the audience.

If you get a chance or have the means, you might think about joining us this Friday. Tickets are available online at XTREMEKNOCKOUT.COM and live on PPV at FITE.TV. When purchasing your tickets, don’t forget to support NWC fighter Renden Prestridge. He’s been working hard and he’s getting back in the ring for the first time since the birth of his baby girl just a few months ago. You can select his fighter code aka name during any of the checkout processes.

Even if you don’t make this event, you should put it on your list to make any live fight event at some point. It’s a cultural experience if anything. MMA crowds are different than Muay Thai crowds and they’re different than Boxing crowds. Fighting is different. There are no balls to bounce or teams to carry you. It’s something special. Support local fighters and promotions when you get a chance. We appreciate it!
